Rubino’s is an Italian term and translates to Ruby’s which implies the gemstone/colour/name.
Established in 2013, Rubino’s is a café / restaurant which serves the North Shore community.
Rubino’s is family owned and operated, my name is Marco and I’m the chef and I am dedicated to my craft. Rubino’s really started 20 years ago when I first became a chef, this is the dream for most young up and coming chefs who want to make their mark in the food industry. After many years of blood, sweat, tears, and a little luck it eventually became a reality.
I worked in many places and many areas of this industry, including working abroad in London, French Alps, and Southern Italy. I have worked in 5 star hotels, fine dining, cafes, and catering, however, my favourite place to work is here at Rubino’s because I can cook for you the my style of food which I have developed over the years which I’m very proud of and the fantastic team we have that makes this place valuable.
Rubino’s has Italian inspired food with some classic dishes and some contemporary food. The food is prepared on the premises and menus change seasonally.
I operate this eatery with my father Tony and supported by my mother Giovanna who have both been very influential in my life and hold in high regard.
